Personally, I don't consider myself transnational because I don't really want to keep ties with my country or relatives. However, my parents on the other hand are and to some degree I am too. My parent won't want to be buried back home. Furthermore, there have property which I will have to go and liquidate in near future. Moreover, my girlfriend (future wife) has a significant ties to back home and plan to visit every year. To that degree I am transnational but not wholeheartedly.
