UL P.119-130

Sally Merry conduct an in-depth ethnographic research in the residents of the Dover Square project. She lived next to the project for over a year to conduct her research. She wanted to find out "how people who live in high crime urban areas think about danger, how they deal with it on a daily basis, and how anonymity fosters crime."

I have lived in the city my whole life. Hence, as you grow up you know where to go and where to stay out of or not to go at certain time.  In the city, you will always have to have your guard up. I am not sure if it holds true to rural villages areas.

As Merry mention in her research, people in the city know who is doing what, for example who is hustling and might be trouble and who is not. Parents and young adults know this and are advise by the respected adults to not go there or hangouts  with those people. Although, teens are attracted to trouble and get involved regardless of the warning. Those who are  wise gets out of it before it too late or never join to begin. Cities will always hold dangers as it is true in our everyday mundane of daily life regardless of where we live.  I just think cities are just well known for danger.
